Err..? is a fast-paced, app-powered party game where players battle to guess obscure (but real) words from witty definitions. Every correct answer propels you forward across a modular, ever-changing game board that you build as you play.
Directed GTM, pricing, and launch ops for Err..?, repositioning a shelved 90s hit for a modern, app-driven revival.
Built the Kickstarter campaign and solved complex logistics to unlock global potential.
The Challenge:
A passionate but inexperienced founding team set out to relaunch Err..?, a word-based party game with a rich 30-year history — from 80s Spanish sun and Scrabble battles, to near-global launch before being shelved post-9/11. Now revived for the digital age, Err..? needed sharp go-to-market execution to stand out in a crowded, Kickstarter-saturated landscape.
My Role:
I joined as a strategic advisor and operator, helping transform a legacy idea into a commercially viable, app-powered product:
Go-To-Market Strategy: Defined the market positioning across Family, Genius, and NSFW editions. Tailored messaging to word lovers, party gamers, and strategy fans alike.
Kickstarter Campaign Build: Personally built the full Kickstarter campaign, including pricing strategy, tiering, and rewards structure.
Pricing & Logistics: Navigated complex international logistics and margin pressures during a turbulent time for indie creators (including Trump-era tariffs and shifting fulfillment costs). Balanced premium product quality with viable unit economics.
Launch Planning: Supported timeline alignment, social media scheduling, and influencer targeting to cut through a highly competitive Kickstarter environment.
Outcome:
Err..? is now Kickstarter-ready, with a polished campaign, modern companion app, and a clear pathway to global market entry — reimagining a classic for the digital generation.
